Long-Distance Friendship

Long-Distance Friendship

There are very few things in this world that are as delightful as getting a fun care package from a far-away friend, and then planning the contents of their package from you.

I was having a kind of miserable unproductive day, only to get to unwrap things from a bright pink box.  A beautiful journal, nail polish, bowls for Marmie, and hilarious Wonder Woman products were some of the goodies I found.  Mei-Lu, you sure know how to bring some cheer into the day!

I love receiving and sending cards with friends too…mail is one of the highlights of life in today’s technological world.  I keep all of the cards and tuck them into whatever journal I’m working on at the time.  They make me feel all warm and fuzzy.

Now I’m back on the hunt for amusing things for her!  I’d put a picture up, but I don’t have the energy to plug my iPad into my computer.  I do have a picture up on twitter (@fragileannie) of Marmie eating out of his new bowls if you follow me on there though!

Do any of you send cards and gifts back and forth with friends that you’ve met on the Internet?

  1. Yes, from a fashion advice website, I was sending postcards while she went though breast cancer treatment.
And my friends send me lovely postcards and letters, although one has moved back here so I don’t get Canadian postcards any more!

  2. Haha, Hayley-Eszti you made me laugh out loud with that comment!

I’m glad that both of you are participating in the joys of long-distance friendship! As sick folk, I think it is one of the ultimate little life joys!
