Sorry about the lack of blog yesterday – I’ve been doubled over in pain for several days now, and things are still just iffy for me health-wise.
My stomach has been a complete disaster to the point that I can’t separate from heating pad without crying my eyes out, and I just received a flu shot which also makes me feel mediocre at best. Plus, I’m in the midst of PMS, so I feel like just continuing to hide out in bed for the next week or so.
As for my weekly recommendation, I’m going to suggest a couple of Food Network shows, as when I’m not sleeping – these are what I’m watching!
Chopped:
So addictive! I love watching what people come up with in twenty minutes and with food baskets containing the oddest food pairings that I could possibly imagine. It’s like take cocktail weenies and make a dessert out of them! It seems gross, but the food usually turns out pretty well for them!
Sweet Genius:
Now this guy as a host is MUCH more irritating than anyone on Chopped, but yet the show draws me in every time. It’s basically the same style of show, only differences being that they only have two mandatory ingredients and they have to create their desserts with a theme in mind. I have a sweet tooth though, so watching what these people manage to whip up makes me drool in front of the television.
I like that both of these shows are particularly good when you don’t have a whole lot of working brain activity, so I’m using them to pass the time.
What are your fave shows on The Food Network?
xoxo,
Annie

No, not cooking shows! They always make me want to eat all the chocolate fondant puddings!
Today I feel like I have different types of pain across different types of my body and it’s way too hot for heat packs and I hurt too much to run a bath. If only the dog had opposable thumbs…
Lots of sympathy to you Annie. Keep us updated on how the flu shot goes, I hear it’s a really bad flu season in north America and I’m not looking forward to flu season here.
