Verbal Release Mondays

Verbal Release Mondays
  • The cat waking me up every single night from 4:30-5:30 a.m.!  I love Mr. Marms’ cuddles more than anything, and I don’t want to have to have him sleep in the bathroom instead of having full access to the house, but my sleep is really taking a serious blow.  It was never really a problem in my old house, but here I may have to become a little more creative!
  • I went to see Hope Springs (the new Meryl Streep movie) and it traumatized me.  It was all about how a lack of intimacy tears apart a marriage, and it hit wayyyyy too close to home with the breakdown of my last relationship.  I spent time hiding out in the bathroom crying.  It gets the honor of being the first movie to ever cause that to happen to me.
  • I can’t wait for next week because I *need* routine back in my life.  I’m not doing so well without it…my anxiety and compulsive behaviors are going through the roof with all of this activity and living with more people.
  • My computer is being overly spastic and I need about a 3 hour long nap.  A shower would be stellar too, if only I could muster the energy.

It truly is one of the worst battles…

I have apparently rapidly aged internally, and I don’t think there is an anti-aging system for that!

A lot more than my leg hurts, and I’ve thought this thought before.  Mind you, I’d feel guilty, so I don’t…

What was hard on you this week?  It helps me to put it down in writing, think about it for a little bit, and then move on to something else.  I can’t solve most of the problems that I write about, but I only get to see a psychologist once a month, so I need to talk to someone on the other end!!

xoxo,

Annie

  1. Just in case this helps you, I was having a big problem with one of my cats waking me up at night for a while. What solved the problem was getting an auto cat feeder, that dispenses a certain amount of food at pre-programed times. That way, Byron can be free and out all night, and still get fed in the middle of the night (which is what he wanted) so it worked really well for him. Don’t know if that’s what your kitty is wanting or not, but I hope you find a solution soon! It sucks to have them waking you up all the time.

  2. I see you changed the name of your Monday post, Annie. I like it!

Not much to vent about here today – all smiles! Despite huge odds against it, we helped my oldest son move into the dorms this weekend for his freshman year of college! He is tired by very, very happy so far. We don’t know if he will be able to handle it with his illness but we are thrilled beyond belief that he is at least able to try, especially after the year from hell.

And my youngest son started high school today, leaving me…alone in a quiet house!! Woohoo!!! Boy, do I need this respite. And I am hoping to have more time/energy for writing now.

Hope you work out the cat/sleep problem!

  3. Sue!

I’m so happy to hear that you got your eldest son off to the dorms! That’s so exciting for him! I hope everything goes smoothly despite the illness! Enjoy your time while the boy is at school!
