I’ve been in a bit of a slump lately, so I needed to find something to thoroughly cheer me up.

30 Rock has managed to do just that!

My sister had bought me the first season on DVD awhile ago, and I watched it and remembered really enjoying it, but never seemed to catch it on television, so I promptly forgot all about it.

This summer was the first summer that my sister and I were both residing in my parents’ house at the same time in six years.  She noticed that this show came on in reruns from 8 to 9 on some television channel in Canada (blanking on which one, but not one of the main ones (citytv maybe?).  Anyway, I started making my way downstairs to hang out with her for a little bit, and found myself laughing hysterically at how much I am like the sick version of Liz Lemon!  The entire cast is golden (especially Alec Baldwin), but Tina Fey is now one of the great loves of my life for creating this television masterpiece!

I’ve definitely needed a lot of reasons to laugh in the last couple of months, and this show is definitely doing the trick.  If you haven’t checked it out – you NEED to.  I can’t wait to watch all of the seasons now, and have a show that I can fall back on when I’m feeling bummed out.
